Yael Schy

ABOUT /

Yael Schy is a dynamic trainer, coach, facilitator, and mediator who is passionate about helping teams and individuals get along better in the workplace and in communities. Yael is known for her creative approach to learning and development that makes learning FUN, and she has more than 20 years of experience in the field of Applied Improvisation. She  is also a theater and dance instructor, improviser, storyteller, singer/songwriter, and Founder of Zoomers to Boomers Improv, a unique virtual program that brings together people of all ages—teens through elders—from around the world to create greater connection and understanding through the magic of improv! Yael has been performing and teaching theater and dance for all age groups for almost 50 years, including being a pioneer in teaching INTERGENERATIONAL IMPROVISATION for more than a decade. She is director of All That Jazz, a San Francisco Bay Area musical improv troupe, and of the Alameda Comedy Club Improv program, as well as the creator and host of the Alameda Story Slam, a monthly program where people come together to share heartfelt true stories in a warm, supportive environment. Yael is also a founding member of the Applied Improvisation Network, and she has attended all but one of the annual AIN international conferences, including presenting at many of them and serving on the conference committee of 5 AIN conferences. Yael is passionate about using improv as a tool to connect people across generations, cultures, and organizations!
